ADMIN

  • (No) Office Meyboom stopped at Pachecolaan in 15 september. Jubilee did not join the new space of the Meyboom collective. Meyboom became a vzw and is looking for a new (bigger) space, so they can meet or to organize little events.

  • Address vzw VM isn't in Brussels half-time. Limited Editions used to be seated at R&K's. Ronny proposes to register Jubilee at their's. Maybe do a Board Meeting + General Assembly in November, also to propose the 2025 budget. Do we want to reconsider the members of the board, the members of the GA. Does anyone want to add new members to the board? Elien Ronse? Ils Huygens! Christophe De Boeck? When? VGC DL is Friday 1/11, do the meeting during the week before. -> Jesse makes Framadate, send to GA / Board.

  • Dossiers VGC: DL 1/11 Brussels: Reading Rooms BARN nadine (Archipelago) VH opening Kanal December 2025 Seasonal Neighbours Seasonal Neighbours potentially a.pass VH commissioned work for the collection of Kanal Clémentine Menen Work on research for exhibition format linked to the modular architecture of the engineer contrasting it with the imagination of that by artists. ACTUALITIES - Activities artists Vincent:
- FrART project on Sambre river (as a consultant) , for Namur European Capital Sambre 2030 - can the river have a legal personality. - Development of The Storyteller film project - writing in Ibiza soon. Summer 2025: invitation for a performance as part of new biennial with Masereel Centrum - In contact with CIVA since may about a research exhibition format linked to the modular architecture of the engineer contrasting it with the imagination of that by artists. Max: -Follow up of research done in Paris for programme in Marseille. -With Seasonal Neighbours: develoment funding asked. On housing for seasonal laborers, scenographies of cohabitation - at home and at work. Working towards a performative/conversational form to discuss work, living and collectivity. Residency in Marseille (second half 2025) at Imera. From January, going to Romania. -Seasonal Neighbours is 6 people. 2025: Kunst in Zwalm, possibly: a.pass. How to think the relation between Jubilee and Seasonal Neighbours? Ciel and Max have applied for a duo project that is framed by Seasonal Neighbours, Jubilee would manage the funds. Various members of SN have 'individual' projects framed by SN. European money? -> Max shares (summary of) application. -> Vincent gets in touch with Mihnea to update about Gilles and Seasonal Neighbours. Jesse: -1st Emptor article will appear in a week or two online in GLEAN R&K: - 9 October first of the walks in LLN - see https://www.jubilee-art.org/news/vermeir-heiremans-7-walks-reveries-dun-collectif-de-promeneurs -Kanal: preparatory study on cooperative enterpreneurship has been done over the summer. 150 000 euro budget, 50 000 euro will be asked from VG, 50 000 euro should come from KANAL, 50 000 in kind own contribution. In case an aqcuisition would happen, Eavatea would be the key to buy it.
Louise: -Considering writing an article for Max Planck department on knowledge ownership. - Starts a paid PHD trajectory at KUL, funded for 2 years.

  • COOP

    • European project, Serbian organisation that wants to start a European artist cooperative, Sota is partner and invited Ronny to be part of the project. He proposed to research on a Belgian cooperative structure. There will be a 1-year course on multi-stakeholder property at KUL that Ronny would like to follow up with, using this as a case-study.

  • Eavatea / - Casco Aline never responded nor came to Ghent. Only during the week she resurfaced but then finally still cancelled. We were supposed to do the Dutch presentation of Eavatea this week but there was never any communication. Let's hope she'll come back to us at a certain point.

  • Agency Conversation how to deal with the debt (ca 30k). Pilot project has been granted for heritage (also about 30k). Possibility to be part of the programme on world history of the commons at Kanal (but no budget so far). Possibly selling the apartment (which is rented out to Wiels residents for about 9k a year) but a lot of effort and the work would need to be stored elsewhere. What could Jubilee possibly do? Agency is part of the MHKA chapter of Eavatea (Julie will work there on seeing how the archive can be reactivated through Eavatea). Current board is looking for fresh breeze. -Can the reactivation of the archive (Kanal december 2024, MHKA June 2025) be seen as the beginning of a new trajectory where the Assemblies can be happening again - interesting, but also bringing in money to the vzw? -If there's a collaboration, whenever Jubilee does a collective project, Agency would be part of that?
    -Gregory would have an Afield fellowship 10k per year...possibilities? -Look for presentation options (for instance from Gregory, perhaps as a counterpart for the December presentation) and apply for funding to reactivate the archives into assemblies. -Do Jubilee meetings at the apartment, get to know the place, Readig Room, pay the rent. -Do Jubilee reading rooms around Kobe's library? VGC project as a collaboration between Jubilee and Agency? -International art & law residency to activate the space, the archive?

  • BARN -First session of series facilitated by Max and Ciel. At Komplot with Katinka de Jonge. Working towards policy tool for better policy for artistic workspace. At the same time, shorter term: letter to administrations and politicians (municipalities, region, communities), now gathering support from studio collectives, SOTA, LaFAP etc -For now, only support by municipalities, in order to avoid language bias (VGC would be feasible, COCOF or FWB not for now). -> Vincent brings Jesse in touch with FR people from Brussels 1000 and Ixelles

PROGRAMME - Beurzen projecten van leden - Next Reading Rooms location: possiblilty to do them at Effi & Amir's ground floor (event space) where we're invited: rue royale saint-marie -> Ronny checks whether we can use for free. Other options: radical_house? The Green Corridor? Constant? Agency archive?

  • Eavatea Nadine Question when to do the next conversation. The plan was: 24 October Kunsthal with Raphael P, Dusolier, ..., with Julie but . Proposal from Danielle for a meeting with someone working on DasArt feedback session, 21-27 October. Who doesn't want to do individual sessions but is interested in helping people develop their own version of the DasArts feedback method. Also there for a workshop March 22-23. Second residency period at Kunsthal could connect to that (week of 24 March 2025).
  • Eavatea Kunsthal (week of 24 March): Elena Biserna, Blank Noise, countermapping programme, Justin Bennett, Julie & Louise hackaton Openbare Werken festival (15-18 May)
  • Eavatea Muhka/CKV: Infrastructures show opens 12/6, Eavatea would be there from 13/6 onwards. Ronny facilitated a collaboration for MHKA with ruangrupa. We have corridor, studio (herman teirling gebouw) and entrance, possible other spaces: cinema or Zuiderpershuis

Ronny's idea for the show: exhibit fragments that are important to EAVATEA and performaing EAVATEA by different JUBILEE members and their projects. We will have a conversation with Nadine Duo show together with CKV. (cfr. projectdossier EAVATEA)

How are we dealing with models of transmission that are connected to the tool?

We need to think more in depth about the programming for the MuHKA show.

Suggestions for the next kunsthal residency 9-11december to further develop the tool so that we can work towards a performative version of the tool.
